PRICING & BILLING

The Youth Empowerment Zone (YEZ) is a mission-driven organization dedicated to supporting the community by ensuring that every child has access to our child care programs. Committed to making our services available to as many families as possible, we collaborate with the Department of Human Services (DHS) to help families obtain subsidy funding. For those who are not eligible for DHS assistance, we provide our Future Leaders Scholarship to ensure opportunities are available to all children.

Please note: Families requesting an Future Leaders Scholarship or Subsidy Funding will need to complete additional steps in the enrollment process. Please see Future Leaders Scholarship or Subsidy Funding sections below.

At the time of registration there is a $20 registration fee.

​

BILLING

Our fees are based on enrollment rather than attendance, meaning refunds or prorated charges cannot be issued for absences due to illness or vacation. By enrolling, you are securing your child’s spot, as well as the necessary staffing, resources, and provisions, regardless of attendance. Refunds are only provided for overpayments or for fees paid in advance when a two-week cancellation notice is submitted.

Please note: Refunds will not be issued if a child is suspended or removed from the program, including during the suspension period from school.

Weekly fees are automatically drafted two weeks before the scheduled week of care. Any changes to enrollment must be submitted in writing at least two weeks in advance and sent to our Billing and Registration Office at [Insert updated contact information].

CHILD CARE ASSISTANCE

The Child Care Assistance Program offers subsidy payments to families with a total gross income not exceeding 300% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL) who shows a need for childcare. Families contribute to the cost of care based on a sliding scale (Parent Fee).

To apply for the child care assistance program, visit the Monroe County Child Care Assistance Program website to download the application.​

ENROLLING WITH SUBSIDY PAYMENTS

During the registration process, you will be prompted to indicate if you are receiving DHS funding. Please select "Yes." Each enrollment request with subsidy funding will be assessed individually to verify if the family has an active case with their county. Families with active childcare cases will be contacted to provide the necessary documentation to transfer care to our program. Families without an active childcare case are strongly encouraged to follow the application process outlined above.

 

FUTURE LEADERS SCHOLARSHIP 

A Future Leaders Scholarship does not cover the full cost but can significantly reduce fees for Summer Camp, Break Away Camp and BASP (Before & After School Program).

Each Future Leaders Scholarship awarded is valid for a 12-month membership, which must begin by the expiration date provided at the time of approval. A new application with updated information is required each year to determine eligibility for continued support.

Approved scholarships reflect the lowest possible rates within the program's guidelines to ensure funding remains available throughout the year while continuing to provide valuable benefits to our members.

If approved, all joining fees will be waived. Future Leaders Scholarships cannot be combined with any other promotional or discounted rates.
